Welcome to the music classroom website! My name is Vanessa Diazdeleon (Ms. Diaz). I'm currently working toward my undergraduate degree at K-State in Music Education. This fall is my last semester on campus before student teaching and graduation in Spring 2019.
I have been an active member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a non-traditional music fraternity for women, for 2 years now. One purpose of my fraternity is to promote music education in America, and I believe becoming a music educator is the perfect vehicle to do so.
I have played the saxophone in quite a few University ensembles. A few of my favorites include the Sudler Award Winning KSUMB, the Golden Apple Saxophone Quartet, and Concert Jazz Ensemble. I have also had the wonderful opportunity of playing clarinet and conducting in the Spring University Bands.
I am the oldest of four children. My mother teaches second grade in Liberal, KS and my father works for Union Pacific Railroad. My younger brother plays trumpet and my twin sisters will be deciding on joining band or choir soon! Another very important member of my family is my golden retriever, Beau.
Feel free to reach out should you have any questions about me via e-mail at email@example.com. Below I have included some of my favorite images to share of my time at University and of my family. I can't wait to get into the classroom and meet you and your students!
